I originally recorded a live off the floor version when working on the LOVE (2019) album, but re-recorded it in the studio at the end of 2020 instead. The phrase “goodnight Ari” at the end of the song is actually taken from that live recording, and references the fact that this is the song that helped put my son to sleep at night for the first two years of his life. When live music still happened regularly, this was often an encore during my acoustic performances.
