Songs for the Holidays was an annual project that ran from 2012 to 2021. Every year, I would partner with a different musician(s) from the Thunder Bay music scene to record a holiday cover song, just for the fun of it. All of the musicians, engineers, studios, etc, volunteered to be a part of the project, with the knowledge that once the project amassed 10 songs the collection would be officially released with all proceeds going to charity. Every year, each new song would debut on CBC Thunder Bay, often by beloved host Lisa Laco. With her recent passing in 2021, we discussed with members of her family what charity would be most dear to her heart and so the decision was made to have all proceeds directed to the Thunder Bay Regional Food Distribution Association (RFDA) who are responsible for feeding the hungry throughout the region. We hope you enjoy these songs that made us feel warm for the last decade.
